Favorite Quote

I am very interested in quotes whether it be from a presidential speech or from a dance teacher. I think that you can tell a lot about a person by the quotes they find appealing. What is some of your favorite quotes? What are some quotes you would use in your classroom and why?

    I'm also a quote fanatic. In fact, all of my journals I've turned into quotebooks, copying quotes, passages, or descriptions from books, even movies, to help me remember how I felt when I read it. One of my favorite quotes from Karen Keder's "Dance of the Dolphin" is : to be in the service of God is to be a beacon of light. The other, (I forgot if its Thoreau of Longfellow) but it simply said "Live a Psalm of Life".

    As for quotes to use in a classroom, I'd have to spend time searching through my quotebooks. I have a plethora of them, which could lead into the 100's.
